How to Make Your Own Shaving Oil

If you're like most people you either have sensitive skin or dry skin especially in winter. If you have sensitive skin you know that shaving can wreak havoc on your skin! Commercial products keep your skin moist enough just to swipe the blade over it. The reality is that's it just not good enough if you want a great shave!

One of the ways to get a great shave is to use oil or a pre-shave oil. Men, if you use shaving cream, please use something organic like Herban Cowboy. Ladies, with oil you won't want to use shaving cream ever again because your legs will look so good! Men, say goodbye to dry skin, razor rash and that scraping feeling for good!

Here is the recipe for a great shave:

Use a base oil (choose from the following):

1. Olive Oil
2. Sweet Almond Oil
3. Grapeseed Oil
4. Jojoba Oil

Essential Oils (choose from the following):

1. Lavender
2. Chamomile
3. Rosemary
4. Patchouli
5. Thyme
6. Sandalwood
7. Lemon
8. You can try others if you're experimental

Put about 5 drops of essential oil per ounce of your base oil. Add less than a quarter of a teaspon of glycerin as well to help the blade glide over the skin.

You should store your homemade solution in a dark glass bottle if possible and store in a cool dry place. It should stay for months. Once you start using the solution you like, you won't believe how much better the shave can be. Plus, you can save money and know exactly what you're putting on your skin!
